Episode 4 | Paris, France
Welcome to The World, Through my Eyes.
In this episode, Paris, France.
Bonjour, Paris!
Paris swept me off my feet the moment I stepped out of the Métro. There’s something magical about the way the city carries its history with grace. Grand monuments rise beside cozy cafés. Sunlight dances on the Seine. And every neighborhood feels like its own little world. In this episode, I’m sharing the places that left the biggest impression—from the elegance of Versailles to quiet moments by the river. Together, they reveal the timeless charm that makes Paris so easy to fall in love with.
Paris Icons: Arc de Triomphe & Eiffel Tower
The Arc de Triomphe stood taller and more powerful than I expected. It wasn’t just the size—it was the intricate carvings, the symmetry, and the weight of history that made me stop and soak it in. I walked around it slowly, admiring the sculpted details up close. Then I paused at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, where the eternal flame flickered gently in the morning breeze. Just when I thought it couldn’t get more impressive, night fell. The Eiffel Tower lit up like a beacon. Whether framed by trees in the afternoon light or glowing gold against the dark sky, it was unforgettable from every angle.
Masterpieces & Monuments: The Louvre
A Palace Fit for a King—a Pyramid Fit for the Future
From the Renaissance-inspired façades to the dramatic glass pyramid standing guard in the courtyard, the Louvre’s exterior is a visual symphony of art, architecture, and ambition. Originally built as a fortress in the 12th century, the building has been reimagined and expanded many times. Today, it is crowned by I.M. Pei’s iconic pyramid—a bold, modernist touch. Every stone and statue seems to whisper a story from centuries past. Meanwhile, the contrast between classical and contemporary design captures Paris’s ongoing love affair with grandeur.
Inside the Vault: A Gallery of Global Treasures
Stepping into the Louvre feels like entering the collective memory of civilization. Each gallery holds masterpieces that span millennia—from Mesopotamian tablets to French Romanticism. Light plays across ancient marble and oil-painted canvases, casting a quiet reverence over the space. Even the softest footsteps seem to echo through history. Every corner is a reminder that this isn’t just a museum—it’s a monument to humanity’s creative legacy.
Impressionist Treasures: Musée d’Orsay
The Musée d’Orsay holds the world’s most celebrated collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masterpieces. These works are housed in a Beaux-Arts railway station turned museum. Walking through its galleries feels like entering the world of Monet, Degas, Renoir, and Van Gogh. Their brushstrokes dance with color, and light becomes the main character in every room.
Gothic Grandeur: Notre Dame
No trip to Paris is complete without standing in awe before the iconic façade of Notre Dame. After years of painstaking restoration following the devastating 2019 fire, the cathedral has triumphantly returned to its full splendor. The cathedral remains a masterpiece of French Gothic architecture, bearing witness to centuries of faith, revolution, and artistry. Even from the outside, its sculpted portals, flying buttresses, and iconic towers tell a story of resilience. As I wandered the perimeter, I found beauty not just in the architecture, but in the details—the statuary, the symbols, and the quiet strength of a monument.
Ville de Paris: Scenes from the Streets
Beyond its grand landmarks and museum walls, Paris reveals its character in the spaces in between. This collection captures the city in motion—from the bustle of the Champs-Élysées and the rhythm of the metro to the timeless façades of Haussmann-era buildings and unexpected splashes of street art. It’s a portrait of Paris as it lives and breathes: layered, iconic, and endlessly expressive.
By the Banks: The River Seine
The River Seine winds through the heart of Paris like a lifeline—timeless, reflective, and endlessly photogenic. Strolling its banks reveals a city in motion and at rest, from leafy embankments and stately bridges to houseboats and riverside picnics. The Seine is where the grandeur of Paris meets its everyday rhythms, offering tranquil moments and striking views that demand a pause. These scenes capture the river’s many moods and moments—each framed by the city’s historic elegance.
Royal Resplendence: Château de Versailles
Once the seat of absolute monarchy, the Château de Versailles remains one of the most extravagant expressions of royal ambition and artistic mastery in Europe. From its gilded gates to the endless Hall of Mirrors and manicured gardens stretching toward the horizon, Versailles stuns with scale and splendor. Though it lies just beyond Paris’s city limits, no exploration of French history—or architecture—is complete without a visit to this magnificent estate.

Final Thoughts
As day turned to dusk and Paris lit up in golden brilliance, we stood at the Trocadéro, watching the Eiffel Tower shimmer like it was saying one last au revoir. Versailles had dazzled with its gilded halls and sculpted gardens, but there was something timeless about this quiet moment — the city alive with lights, history humming beneath our feet.
Paris isn’t a checklist. It’s a rhythm, a romance, a layered story told through art, architecture, and everyday moments. From monumental palaces to winding riverbanks, every corner invited us to slow down, look closer, and savor.
And so, as the tower’s beacon swept across the sky, we felt not like tourists but temporary citizens of beauty. If this trip was a love letter to Paris, then this view — aglow and unforgettable — was the signature at the bottom.
